Our multi-national team enjoys working with clients from various backgrounds. We excel at helping those raised in other countries navigate asset management and estate planning. With over 20 years of experience, she helps clients through Life Transitions, which are monumental events in one’s life that may require a financial experr – such as suddenly becoming single by the death of spouse, transitioning through a divorce, receiving an inheritance, moving from the work force into retirement, selling a business, or winning a lottery.

She is a tenth-time recipient of the Five Star Wealth Manager Award including 2023 which is given to the top 3% of Financial advisors in Atlanta. She has been featured in Forbes, Fortune, WSJ, CNBC, USA Today, Atlanta Magazine, Atlanta Jewish Times, and Business RadioX.

Junko Rivka grew up in a traditional Japanese family where her father was a corporate executive and her mother was a homemaker. Her father managed the entire household’s finances and her mother didn’t know anything about money except the allowance she received from husband monthly. Her mother’s lack of’ Financial independence made Junko determined to be a completely independent woman. After Junko moved to the US, she realized that many American women, those who are older, tend to give Financial responsibilities to their spouses. She decided to become a wealth manager in order to help women become aware of the importance of financial independence and to gain the confidence in doing so.

She lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband, Stephen and her mother whom she brought over from Japan nine years ago with her father who rests in peace in heaven. She has two married daughters, Dr. Yael and Adina & their families in Chicago and Philadelphia.

My passion for finance and helping others started at young age, heavily influenced by the life my mother went through. My mother immigrated to the USA from Peru before I was born. She got married with my father shortly after moving to this country.  But my parents got divorced when I was five and I have not seen my father since then.

Since my mother could not afford working and paying for my care, I was sent to live in Peru with her parents and I spent a year with them. When my mother saved up enough money, she came to pick me up in Peru and both of us went back to the U.S.  My mom really wanted me to get a good education, so she never gave up on living in the U.S. even with all the hardship that she went through. Growing up, I felt responsible to help her around the house. I wanted to make life easier for her. I saw how hard she had to work to provide for both of us. I wanted to start earning money as soon as possible to help her out. When I was twelve or thirteen, I held various jobs such as opening my own lemonade stand, shoveling snow from people’s driveways, and mowing people’s lawn. I learned from a young age that money provides you with freedom and options.

My passion for financial planning started while taking a financial planning elective course at Georgie State University. Since then, I have fallen in love with the industry and I love helping others reach their financial goals. I enjoy educating and empowering women to take control of their finances. I watched my mother struggle for years to get back on her feet. I want to make sure that no one else has to go through the same struggle as my mother did.

I believe that my mission in life is to help teach others about financial literacy to help them achieve financial freedom for the future. Helping you accomplish your financial and life goals is my number one priority!

In my spare time, I enjoy lifting weights, running long distance, and reading about business and self-help books. In 2020, I competed in my first Ultra Marathon distance. The total distance was 50 kilometers (~31 miles) which included over 6,000 feet of elevation change. I am also getting into triathlons and I completed a Half-Ironman distance in 2020. The total distance covered is 70.3 miles, which consists of a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride, and a 13.1-mile run. I love pushing myself physically and mentally everyday to see what I can achieve. I believe that in order to help others you have to maintain good physical and mental health.
